DeFi is Complicated
High (& Costly) Barrier to Entry
Every blockchain creates their own ecosystem. From it, DeFi protocols are born and chain-specific ecosystems are created further still.
DeFi traders and investors must traverse these networks through:
  • gas fees to send funds to and from cold/hot wallets and storage
  • gas fees to enter protocols, LPs, yield farms, etc.
  • gas to bridge funds across blockchains
  • fees to swap assets
  • fees to enter/exit LP positions from DEX
  • fees to enter/exit LP positions in auto-compounders
The barrier to entry is high. Users are presented with a myriad of potential missteps — any of which can result in the partial/entire loss of funds.
